NAIROBI LOVE WILL SHOW YOU SHEGE.
The last time I checked love was sacred. I know you are reading this sighing but listen, Isn't it how it used to be. The world has diverted we all to a whole new system.
You walk on the streets nowadays and even kids are in love. How did we get there. As they say, "Kuenda na wakati". I personally agree with that. As much as we are trying to hold onto our cultures we have to let go and accept that generations are changing and perhaps we have to leave by it.
Apart from that there's now "Nairobi Love". Listen, its getting more complicated I would suggest you brace for impact. Get a glass of water because you need that.
Sarah was once in love. The courting face was all she would see in her eyes. The phase where you all just behaves like kids, frequent calls, dinner dates mention them all, she never lacked.
Today it's Kempinski, tomorrow its Glee, imagine of any big restaurant that would come to your mind, it was a just a matter of asking and it would happen. A month turned to two, to five, to a whole year with no serious conversations of whether they were making things official with his man Jerry or not. This whole situation would make Sarah run into phases of not wanting to trust his man. She would get depressed just out of nowhere, make long calls speaking out her distress to friends but what everybody would tell her as long as she was getting the luxury she should hold on.
That's exactly what Sarah did. As time went by her only prayer was that one day Jerry would get to ask her about their next stage with their love story. They were both at ages where they ought to begin to start getting serious about adulting. Did Jerry get serious? No he did not. Anytime Sarah would bring up the conversation, it would get Jerry mad and even try reminding her of her past mistakes. The cycle went on and on and this made Sarah give up and decided to leave the relationship. She later found out that Jerry was having an affair outside and that's why he never wanted to get committed to her. Sad story it is but in your opinion what would you have done?
