WE LOST A LEGEND
The display kicked off with Kenya airways displaying their skills and flying at a faster speed incorporating it with flips. A5 fighting planes then followed with the same speed and spins that left Kenyans in shock how talented our Kenyan pilots were. Skytrac hydroplanes followed next them being transport aircrafts that are used to transport soldiers to battles and specifically those soldiers with special training of handling heights who will later fall from the sky to the destinations they are to fall at which is also referred to as the military free fall.
Hiwi planes came next with the purpose of picking soldiers that were earlier dropped with the same plane. Later followed fire fighters planes that displayed how they help to put out fire incase of a fire incident. Sky divers followed next, and finally the pilots that left everyone in shock and wanting to see more were the Max Men.
The Max Men was group of four pilots from South Africa that purposely joined our pilots to make the air show more vibrant and one to be remembered. They flew 4 planes in unison each having one pilot moving in a correct spacing, flying up high in the sky and coming down with the same speed. They made spins, more than ten spins in one round of flying and other spins in the other round of flying and it was all colorful.
They formed perfect shapes of letters, they drew a heart shape with the smoke they emitted from their planes, they formed diamond shape and many that caught even the heart of the president.
The airshow came to an end in the evening with everyone having satisfied their eyes to the fullest. The four South African pilots flew back to their country to probably prepare for another show. On Tuesday 31st 2022, the Max Men got the chance of going to showcase their talent in Harare, Zimbabwe. Unfortunately Mark Sampason lost control in their normal flips when landing down and passed away. They were actually on the last spin preparing to come back to Nairobi to present on 1st at the Madaraka Holiday function, but unfortunately he died. He died as a fighter. He died serving people which is more legendary. May his soul in eternal peace.
