CHINESE EXPLOITATION OF AFRICANS

In Feb 2020, as BBC EYE revealed recently, Chinese workers were taking advantage of poor Africans from Malawi and using them to make huge amounts of money in the name of helping them. The Chinese would use kids in their exploitation.

On a normal daily routine, the Chinese would go deep into Malawi and grab children, make them chant Chinese words that they do not understand the meaning, record them while chanting the words and post them on their social media pages.

They would arrange children in rows, and make them shout: -

“I am a black monster”

“And my IQ is low”

“Yeah”

All these words would be shouted in Chinese after training for a long time. The children revealed that when they took long to memorize the words, they would get caned and pinched severely on their ears. At the end of the day, the Chinese savior as they all thought, would then give the children half a dollar, and the next next day the routine would continue.

Parents of the children expressed their bitter part saying that they would see their children getting whipped but had no option because the children at the end of the day would get paid. They would see nerves running down their children’s faces because of extremely shouting but still had no option because of their poverty levels.

Similar cases have been witnessed still in other places in Africa. Recently in Kenya, in Feb 2020, a Chinese boss worker by the name of Deng Hailan was seen whipping an African worker that was working in his restaurant at Kileleshwa. Deng Hailan who was also a chef at the restaurant whipped the worker for claims of coming to work late. The video however went viral and the DCI arrested Deng Hailan together with other Chinese people after realizing that the African worker had done nothing wrong. The Chinese nationals were also found with mistakes of running the restaurant with no permits while others were found to be illegally staying in Kenya since their passports had already expired.
