GEORGE MAGOHA IS DEAD

  Former education Cabinet Secretary, George Magoha, is dead, family confirms. This happened after he collapsed at his home in Nairobi. He was rushed to Nairobi Hospital where doctors later confirmed that he did not make it. His wife Dr Barbra Magoha, confirmed to the public that indeed George Magoha due to cardiac arrest. He has died at the age 0f 71. This comes days after he just landed a great job at Maseno University as the professor of surgery at the school of medicine. Also, the immediate brother to the late former CS had passed on on 6th December 2022 and was yet to be buried on the 28th of January 2023 May his soul rest in eternal peace.

TUM UNIVERSITY STUDENT FOUND DEAD

  A student from the Technical University of Mombasa has been found dead at his place, Kaachonjo area, Tudor, Mvita Constituency. Gregory Mutinda, who was 24 yrs old was found lying in his house, with a syringe beside him and some pesticides powders.  According to his girlfriend, Mercy Munyao, she said she tried reaching his boyfriend for long on phone to no avail and decided to go to his place.  On reaching, she found the door locked and after decided to peep through the window where he saw his boyfriend lying on the floor.  She called her friend who came and they helped break the down door.  According to the police, they stated that they found clothes stained with blood and the deceased had a deep cut with a knife lying beside him. The report indicated that they also found some fluids and pesticides powder beside him. His body has been moved to Coast General Hospital mortuary awaiting for autopsy. 

HIGH COURT SUSPENDS CHARGERS FROM BANK TO M-PESA TRANSFERS .

The High Court has earlier yesterday ordered Safaricom and CBK to remove charges they kept as transfer charges, from bank users.  Judge Mugure Thande gave the standing order after a petetion filed by Moses Wafula, who claimed customers are not to be charged any fee for transferring money from their banks to various mpesa users.  He ordered both the two parties to wait until January 23rd when the case will be heard and a final verdict will be determined.  Though the charges were earlier there, they were waived during the covid-19 crisis, on March 16th 2020. Later on the charges were brought back on January 1st 2023. Moses Wafula has argued his complain saying it is not right for the bank to continue making money from the public through the paybill infrastructure.  The verdict is yet to be determined on January 23rd.

JACKTON ODHIAMBO KILLED EDWIN CHILOBA.

  Fresh details have emerged concerning the death of Edwin Chiloba. Jackton Odhiambo, who was the lover of the late Edwin Chiloba, has confessed to being the one that killed Edwin Chiloba. According to Langas police station  OCPD, he revealed that Jackton confessed to having killed Edwin. He said that Jackton confessed to having gotten triggered to do so after realizing that Edwin was in another affair. The two had been in an affair for one year. Jackton Odhiamo said all he did was revenge on Edwin for having not been faithful in their affair, The caretaker of the apartment the two lived in, Alex Nyamwea, said that the suspect called him with the deceased phone telling him that he was evacuating that very night. The area police in their research established that the couple left a club they were having at 3am. After that, the two went straight to their apartment where neighbors claimed they heard some commotion. The neighbors however said they saw two people loading a metal box...

EDWIN CHILOBA BRUTALLY MURDERED

  An LGBTQ+ activist, Edwin Chiloba is dead. His body was found dressed in a lady's outfit and stashed in a metallic box along Kipenyo-Kaptinga Rd, Eldoret. Police have launched investigation of who could have done the brutal act. Report given by the police highlighted that a source claimed the metallic box was dropped by a  numberless vehicle. The Kenya Human Rights Commission, KHRC, has however condemned the act. In a statement that was shared earlier today, KHRC stated, "It is truly worrisome that we continue to witness escalation in violence targeting LGBTQ+ Kenyans. This is reprehensible and deeply unjust. Every day, the human rights of LGBTQ+ persons are being violated with little consequences for perpetrators,'' Kenyans have however taken to social media to mourn the late activist while demanding for justice.
